Frequently Asked Questions
Are cheap PBT keycaps durable?
Yes, affordable PBT keycaps are durable and resist shine better than ABS. With proper care they can last years without significant wear or fading.
What is the difference between OEM and Cherry profiles?
OEM has varied row heights for a more comfortable ergonomic layout while Cherry is uniform low profile. Cherry is flatter while OEM offers a more natural typing slope.
How do I know if keycaps fit my keyboard?
Check that your keyboard uses standard MX compatible switches. Also verify layout details like ISO or ANSI Enter sizes to ensure compatibility.
Can I use cheap keycaps on my gaming keyboard?
Yes, most mechanical gaming keyboards use standard switches that these caps fit. Just check that the key count matches your layout for full coverage.
Do side printed keycaps work with all RGB layouts?
Only if your switches have south facing LEDs. North facing LEDs will not light up the text correctly on side printed caps.
How do I clean my keycaps effectively?
